ドイル・ブラムホール・II
『ジェリークリーム』 ドイル・ブラムホール・IIが今エリック・クラプトンのサイド・ギターとして知られている。残念ながら、彼のソロ・アルバムがあまり知られていない。ギターも勿論上手けれども、ヴォーカリストとソングライターとしても世界で一流のミュージシャンだ。 テキサス州、オースティン市出身で、子供のごろ、父のドイル・ブラムホールSr.がヴォーン兄弟（スティーヴィー・レイ・ヴォーンと兄のジミー・リー）と友達だった。本人も仲良くなって、1989年にジミー・ヴォーンのファビュラス・サンダーバーズのバック・ギターになり、1992年にスティーヴィー・レイ・ヴォーンの元リズムセクション、ダブル・トラブル、と一緒にアーク・エンジェルズって言うバンドを始めた。 初ソロ・アルバム『ドイル・ブラムホール・II』が1996年にリリースした。ギターより曲とヴォーカルを中心にして、ブラムホールらしくないアルバムだった。『ジェリークリーム』が1999年に出した。このアルバムでやっとバランスを取れた。

Doyle Bramhall II
Jellycream Guitarist, Doyle Bramhall II, has made a stable career for himself as a sideman to major artists, such as, Roger Waters and, particularly, Eric Clapton. He is, however, capable of much more than sympathetic backing and the occasional tasteful solo. Truly an all-round talent, Bramhall writes memorable songs, plays tasteful, funky guitar and sings in a distinctive, moody baritone. In spite of his obvious talent, his solo career has never taken off and he hasn't released an album under his own name since 2001. Jellycream was his second solo album released in 1999. Bramhall grew up around the Austin music scene. His father, Doyle Bramhall, Sr., was band mates and friends with Stevie Ray & Jimmie Vaughan. The younger Bramhall grew up listening to them jam before getting one of his first big professional breaks playing alongside Jimmie in the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Following Stevie Ray's death, Bramhall formed Arc Angels with singer/guitarist Charlie Sexton and Stevie Ray's Double Trouble rhythm section. Unfortunately, Bramhall was struggling with drug addiction and the band folded after one moderately successful album. He released his eponymous debut album in 1996, after successfully getting off drugs. This album emphasized his singing and songwriting, as well as the funk and soul influence of artists like Stevie Wonder and Prince. Starting a trend that would continue with all of his solo work, the album was critically acclaimed but failed to sell. Which brings us to Jellycream. The album finds Bramhall continuing to refine his skills as a vocalist and songwriter, while balancing the soul influences of the debut with the rockier sound of the Arc Angels. While not a 'guitar' album like Arc Angels and the later, Welcome, Jellycream features lots of tasteful guitar textures on acoustic, electric and slide guitars.
